Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Hoang Van
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Thi Hoang Van was born in 1972 in Ha Noi, Viet Nam.
- Bachelor degrees in Foreign Languages and Economics
- Master’s degree in Development Studies
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Van began her career in July 1994 at the International Youth Cooperation Development Centre, Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. From 1998 to 2008, she successively held various positions at the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, including Deputy Head and Head of the International Department.
From 2008 to 2016, she worked at the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), serving successively as Head of the Multilateral Affairs Department, Secretary-General and Vice President. She also held leadership positions at the Viet Nam Peace and Development Foundation and the Viet Nam Peace Committee.
From 2016 to 2025, she served as Director-General of the Department of People-to-People Diplomacy, Deputy Head and Standing Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations.
From 2025 to August 2026, she served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies, and Head of the Department for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization.
In August 2026, she was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam.
